Where do i get good deals for Las Vegas hotel accommodation?

We're going to Las Vegas for a week this september but have not booked accomodation. Not wishing to spend a fortune, so where is the best hotel? Or would love to know how to get the best deals

It is a bit far off for any real deals. Unfortunately September and October are busy months because the weather is near perfect here. Prices go up before labor day and that weekend is the most expensive. The best prices now are given right on the hotels' websites. The travel sites get a commission from the hotel. So the hotels save on the commission and offer the rooms for less on their own site. They also will offer extras like show tickets or meal discounts which the travel sites can not offer. Use this site to start looking at prices. Keep an eye on the prices for the next couple of month. You should see them start to drop if bookings are slow. Sometimes it depends on who your travel agent is. Its hard to find good deals in any hotel accommodation. I would look up online somewhere or refer to the brochures on cheap rates and quotes

Then a calender of dates and prices will appear on your screen. You can change the months back and forth. You can see when the best time to go and the HUGE difference one day can make in your hotel bill. And if the hotel is cheap that day / days then all hotels in Las Vegas are cheap that day / days, then go to hotels.com and book your hotel on those dates and you will see very affordable hotel rates. If you're going for a full week, I suggest you save money and book a time share at the Jockey Club or the Polo Towers directly from an owner who can not use it this year and needs to make his annual fee. They are both on the strip. You can go to redweek.com, tug2.com or timeshareownerscommunity.com / You can get a week in a one bedroom suite with a kitchen for less than a hotel room and you can save money on your meals. Also, there is a half price ticket booth in front of the Polo Towers where everyone gets tickets to the shows and half price on restaurants. Get on the mailing lists for Mandalay Bay and New York, New York. Maybe Paris and Cesar's too. I have stayed everywhere and they send me deals all the time
Hmmm. Well right now you can stay on the strip dirt cheap. I think since the economy is so bad and its slow this time of year. I do not know about Sept & October. We stayed off the strip at The Gold Coast when we went a few weeks ago. These off the strip hotels are a bit cheaper. They actually are not bad because they had shuttles that take you to the strip and back all day long. If you stay at the Rio or Gold Coast, the shuttles only take like less than 5 mins and BOOM you are there - center strip. So i guess what im saying is do not let those kind of hotels scare you. The shuttle services are actually pretty good and you can save some $ beause you are not directly on the strip
